As CEO of The Institute of Motivation and Empowerment, Inc., (The I of ME), Monique creates and delivers professional development workshops designed to empower attendees to begin thinking on higher prestigious career and educational levels. Monique has more than fifteen years of strategic client, staff, and volunteer development. She was a Georgia State-Approved Training Facilitator through the Georgia Professional Development System for seven years. Some of the community partners she has established include: Sheltering Arms Georgia Training Institute; United Way of Greater Atlanta; Association of Childcare Professionals; Strengthening Families Georgia; Destiny's Daughters; and Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children (GAEYC).
As Executive Director of Phase II, Inc., some of Monique’s successes reflect the selection of three at-risk youth who received scholarships to attend America’s Promise Alliance in Washington, DC. She was also successful in five at-risk youth being selected to sit on a youth panel for Stop the Drop which is a Georgia Public Broadcasting campaign designed to lower the dropout rate in the state of Georgia. The youth provided information to law-makers and educators on how to engage youth and lower dropout rates in Georgia.
