in TENtional© is designed to educate young ladies on options available to them regarding gratifying careers and higher education. The goal is to provide quality mentoring and guidance to teens and youth to ensure they are successful and productive adults. This program is in place to ensure that youth have an opportunity to explore alternative and positive avenues outside of negative and limited environments. This program is a ten-step, ten-week curriculum that can be taken over 10 weeks with weekly classes or 20 weeks with bi-weekly classes.

10 or 20 WEEK / TEN-STEP CURRICULUM:
Week 1: Career:
Through vigorous self-assessment, participants identify personal interests and skills to assist with the selection of gratifying career paths
Week 2: Education:
Participants research educational requirements for their identified career paths. They also receive information on scholarships and grants.
Week 3: SMART Goals:
Participants learn how to identify and establish SMART goals as well as strategies and methods for realizing those identified SMART goals
Week 4: Entrepreneurial:
Participants are educated on how to build a business or create a product from an idea they may have.
Week 5: Etiquette and Personal Care:
Participants are educated on self-care and how to conduct themselves in public
Week 6: Living Skills:
Participants are educated on how to live independently and make decisions regarding paying bills and creditors on time, how to save money and plan for the future, and the importance of a checking and savings account
Week 7: Problem Solving:
Participants learn how to deal with stress and avoid self-induced problems
Week 8: Self Esteem:
Participants are given advice on how to identify personal positives and build upwards. They also learn how to recognize personal negatives and either improve them if they can be (attitudes) or embrace them if they cannot be (a birthmark).
Week 9: Financial Literacy:
Participants learn about IRAs, mutual funds, and the stock market and how they can be helpful in investing and saving for the future
Week 10: Community Engagement:
Participants are taught how to go back into their communities and engage other teens with the information obtained in the sessions. They will also identify community-based agencies in-line with their interests, for possible volunteer opportunities.
